Colour-Coded Industrial Flooring in London
Shier Coatings completed an industrial floor-coating project at a busy working facility in London.
The project involved creating clearly defined green pedestrian walkways and blue designated work areas, together with painting the floors within the upstairs gallery and stock room.
Work Completed
The flooring package included:
- Green non-slip pedestrian walkways
- Blue designated work areas
- Clear separation between walking and operational areas
- Painting the upstairs gallery floor
- Painting the stock-room floor
- Consistent colour coding throughout the facility
Green Non-Slip Walkways
The pedestrian walkways were finished in green with a non-slip surface.
The contrasting colour makes the designated walking areas clearly visible, while the textured finish provides additional grip underfoot within the busy industrial environment.
Blue Designated Work Areas
The operational bays were finished in blue to identify designated work areas.
Using a separate colour for these areas created a clear visual difference between the green pedestrian walkways and the active working zones.
Gallery and Stock-Room Floors
The flooring within the upstairs gallery and stock room was also painted as part of the project.
Completing these additional areas produced a consistent finish across the facility while improving the appearance, cleanliness and usability of the upper working and storage spaces.
